First Year is a Telly Award winning, 6 episode dramatic series about the trials and tribulations of 2 college freshmen. It was produced by a small team of 5 or 6 people at the SU Video Production Unit. I was the boom operator and general helping hand.

The show was funded by the Healthy Monday campus initiative, so its educational motives were clear. Consequently, the entire thing was really cheesy. But the low budget and bad acting aside, this job really taught me how the production process works from beginning to end.
